Hatching Sands The hatching sands are large and expansive and set into the cliffs which make up Illuay, stretching down into the lower caverns, but opening to the skies. This is the hottest place in the Weyr. |

Rider's Weyr - 1 Viewing Built into the cliffs surrounding the Weyrbowl, there are ledges for dragons letting out and winding stairs leading up both inside and outside of the walls. Sub-boards: Weyrling Barracks, Council Chambers |

Feeding Pens Located near a simple shelter made of rock, the herdbeasts are often allowed to roam free in the pasture with simple rock made gates and fences as a means of keeping them out of trouble. This is on the far end of the 'bowl where the animals will be out of the way of constant dragon traffic in order to prevent constant panic and noise. |

Weyrlake The Weyrlake is fed by several streams and is drained by three as well directly into the ocean. It is teeming with life - fish, fresh water crabs and similar creatures. Underwater plants are also abundant. This is a great source of food. The occassional large and carnivorous fish may make its way into the Weyrlake at night, but they tend to make a good meal for a hungry dragon. |
