It was a wonderful afternoon for being outside, and R’le intended to make the most of it. As of the current moment he was at the Weyrlake, Quiorith sitting in the water and listening to his rider. The Brown was more listening then truly paying attention to getting himself clean. R’le was sitting on the edge of the lake, with both the things to clean Quiorith and some papers. They were all copies, so he didn’t have to worry about getting anything important wet, but he was doing his best all the same. Currently a map was in his hands and he had it at an angle that the Brown could see.
“Okay so here we’ve got the areas that have been explored so far.” R’le pointed and Quiorith nodded before immersing himself in the water more. “Obviously people have done flyovers but really on foot there are only these areas. I’m thinking we start at the beach and head out this way.”
Sounds good. Can you get my back? Quiorith flared his wings slightly and R’le rolled off his seat, leaving the map where it was.
“Sure. Sorry. Just excited is all.” R’le started cleaning the Brown properly, whose eyes started whirling a contented blue-green.
I am too. Will I be able to fit most places?
“Hard to say. You aren’t exactly a Blue.”
Mm. Maybe if we could follow the shore for a while?
“It would give us a feel for the area to start with. I like it.”
The pair continued to talk, while R’le cleaned Quiorith. The whole affair with the Queen riders and all that was more distant to them, and all the politics surrounding the area. They cared about two things for the moment. They were at a place that needed the pair of them to fly and fight thread, and a place that was to be explored. So it was all good enough for them.
